How do I cancel my car insurance policy?
If you decide to cancel your policy with 1st Central please contact the Customer Services Team on 0843 208 4000 who will be able to process your cancellation. Cancelling your direct debit instruction will not automatically cancel your policy and you may incur additional charges.
Just to remind you, standard cancellation fees will apply. Full details of our fees are available on our website at AboutOurInsuranceServices. Any extra products, such as Personal Accident or Legal Expenses, are also non-refundable if cancelled more than 14 days after their start date.
However, if your policy renewed automatically and you wish to cancel it because you have taken alternative insurance elsewhere, you will not be charged any fees as long as the alternative insurance started from your renewal date.
